I have never actually stayed here before, but I have been a customer of the Tiki Bar & Grill. Last summer me and my husband and son stopped by like we have done numerous of times and purchased food and drinks from the TiKi Bar and have swam in the pool. The cool thing is that you can do that as long as you buy something from the tiki bar. Also, the hotel has a great view of the river with a nice little swimming hole area and a play ground and picnic tables. I will definitely be staying here our next over night trip to Chimney Rock.
It's not a fancy motel, but it's always clean and the staff is helpful and friendly. We like that their detached bar in the back serves food. And we've liked everything we've had so far. Love their french fries, plus is a large enough order for 3 adults. The bar closes early so as not to disturb the travelers whom are sleeping. And the view is gorgeous with the sound of the river to boot. Love Lake Lure in the fall.
This a quaint older motel right along a boulder-strewn river at the edge of Lake Lure. It is cozy and clean and quiet, with a back yard for exploring and picnicing, and tiki bar. We drove into town to explore, and just dropped in. The price was nice too.
This is an older hotel in a tourist town. There are nicer places, I can't think of any of them that you walk out back and you are right on the river. They are always renovating. Most places shut down at the middle of October , Geneva stays open all year round. They are the only one with a tiki bar with terrific food. Have been going there every year for 15 yrs.
So peaceful! The tiki bar/ restaurant in the back is staffed with friendly people and full of friendly locals. All around great place for the price.
